My dad just turned 60 last Friday (hard to believe, i know!) So the family got together to celebrate all weekend long.
I travelled up to Edinburgh a few days before the party began to spend some time with my oldest sister. My sisters and I are all so close so we had a great time together! Being away from Josh for 4 days proved to be too much for a us both so he skipped work to drive up day early. True love right? ;)
His birthday was on Friday and we all waiting on Dad finishing work that night so we could open gifts together! Birthdays tend to be a big deal in our family so we like to celebrate them as much as possible!
After opening gifts, we all headed out to enjoy a lovely casual dinner. Pub grub at its best!
It was a nice relaxed night and we were all able to catch up since we hadn't all been together since Christmas. We went back home to have some birthday cake which ended the night perfectly!
On Saturday, the boys and girls parted to do out own thing. The boys went to play snooker and the girls went shopping (obviously!)
Later that evening, we all got ready and headed to Dads local to meet up with his friends before our dinner reservations in town. He loved that everyone had made an effort to get together to wish him a happy birthday.
Our reservations for dinner were at Chaophraya, a Thai restaurant in the centre of Edinburgh. It was so gorgeous! Everything from start to finish was absolutely perfect- especially the food!
Sunday was more of a laid back day where they boys watched football all afternoon while the girls chatted and made dinner. We sang happy birthday one last time before we all had to go our separate ways!
Such a great weekend with everyone I love. Happy birthday Dad! We love you
