Christmas 2013 in pictures.

I'll warn you now - this post is very picture heavy.

I feel bad that i never kept to blogging about our "12 dates of christmas" but we got so busy during the run up to the big day that i just never got round to writing it all in a post! We did have a great time going on little dates though and more importantely i think Josh really loved it. He asked me every morning what we were doing that day and there wasn't a single date he didn't enjoy (or he was just very good at making me believe otherwise).

We spent Christmas in Edinburgh with my side of the family and we had dinner round at my sisters. She and her husband were great hosts and done at great job for their first christmas dinner!

There were so many highlights to Christmas this year that i'm not going to bother writing about them all. I thought i would just post pictures instead! Enjoy...
 Jennifer's gorgeous table!
Before lunch we all opened our gifts together.
 Me gorgeous parents!
I was so happy to receive this new piping set. Bring on the baking!! So excited to try out all the new nozzles (ha! loser.)
This particular gift (toilet rules) is already in our bathroom. Take note Josh...

Josh was very excited about grannys scratch cards but Paul was the only winner though. Hope he didnt spend his £2 all at once.
 The forever young spirited Rubyloo!
Now on to the good stuff... Christmas dinner. Hats off to Jen - it was incredible.
Yes this was my plate and yes I am completely gutted that I didnt finish it
Dad and his famous party trick. The boys (especially Josh) were in awe. After dinner and everyone had slept off their food coma's, we went round to extended family to have dessert and play some christmas games,
The first game- go round the cicle and say "Ho, ho, ho" without laughig. A LOT harder than you would think. It took us girls a good 5 miutes to get in the zone
Dad was definitely the best "Ho, ho, ho-er" but was sadly defeated by Granny in the end.
 Disney charades!
Once all the fun and games were over, we headed back to my sisters and chilled out. We all talked about the best part of our day and what we're most grateful for. It was a lovely way to end such a great day.

On boxing day we left Edinburgh bright and early to head home to pick up this little rascal.
She was definitely on the extra nice list judging by her pile of gifts that Father Christmas had left at our house!
After Scarlett opened her gifts we headed over to Josh's parents where everyone was watching Manchester United play. They won so it was a merry christmas all round.
Boxing day lunch is always the best.

After stuffing ourselves with more food, everyone slupmed back on the couch but this time we watched family videos. (My hubby was seriously so cute. I pray our babies will look like him!)
After a lot of laughs and many "aww" moments, we opened more gifts with everyone. Josh's family is so big that its much more practical for us to do secret santa which was fun!
It had been a long few days and our late nights were catching up on us, so we left to chill out at home. But not before Scar got use her new nail polishes.
Daddy done a good job considering his lack of experience in the beauty department
and with his lack of expereince comes the unwritten rule. If you do someones nails, they MUST do yours in return. What a sport!

So all in all Christmas 2013 was definitely one to remember and full of golden moments! What would Christmas be if it weren't for your loved ones?

So sad its all over for another year. Cue the christmas blues...

Hope you all had a lovely christmas!!

X
