While my hubby was at the football today (standard), I wrote a mahooosive list if what I would like to accoumplish/change in 2014. Maybe a big list is unrealistic but maybe it's not. One of my resolutions is to be more positive so I'm remaining optimistic about making an effort to keep each resolution.
Josh is very smart and somewhat inspiring when it comes to goal setting so he taught me a few "tips" on how to make smart goals. I feel like pondering more about what I want to achieve rather than setting generic goals (eat healthier, get fitter etc) was way more productive.
I'll spare my lengthy list of new year resolutions and keep it inside my journal along with my other secrets. Some of them are personal and some are not, the ones I will share are my main beauty resolutions...
1. Invest in a good skin care routine (which i've kinda already done). I took the plunge and joined he Clinique 3 step club last week. So far so good. No complaints but no massive differences in my skin as of yet. I'm so impatient.
2. Body brush at least 2x a week. Goodbye cellulite!
3. Treat myself to a weekly pamper night which will include face and hair masks. I've yet to find the perfect ones though (recommendations welcome)
I've honestly have a list as long as my arm that include reading more books, experimenting more in the kitchen and to be punctual at all times, but I will keep the rest to myself!
We had a lovely New Year's Eve together and went out for dinner in Manchester (which was soooo good) before heading to his sisters for a family get together. We played games and celebrated when the clock struck 12 and I got my new years kiss from my love.
Here's what i wore:
New Year's Day has been a bit boring with lots of organising and tidying. I stayed in my pajamas, took all the Christmas deccys down and ate my weight in chocolate (I was trying to get rid of it before the healthy eating starts tomorrow of course). Two things I wanted to start the new year with: Josh and a clean house. Both I've got so its a good start to the year.
Here's what i wore:
(I got this gorge necklace in Dorothy Perkins half price. Love the sales. Sometimes)
(My faux fur scarf thing is from River Island and i have hardly taken in off all winter. So cosy)

Hope everyone out there is feeling optimistic about 2014. I'll end this post with a summary of what josh told me earlier- life is what you make it, success is a choice and if things don't happen they way you wanted them too then you've not failed. Some things are just not meant to be.
Happy New Years!
