Although she continued to be unwell through the night, she was back to her usual self bright and early the next again morning so I took them to the park to get some fresh air and wanted josh to get some peace as he was the one who kept settling her in the night. Have I ever mentioned what a great dad he is? And how it makes me feel so much more love for him when I see them together? They two couldn't be more similar if they tried and it melts my heart. Anyway, the girls had a good run about at the park and got to pick a little treat from the little corner shop (although it's not on a corner?) on the way home. In true British fashion, the sun sadly didn't make it past midday and we caught the first little drops of rain as we walked back home. Luckily we don't live too far so nobody got wet and I don't even think the girls noticed it had started to rain ever so slightly as they were both too interested in eating off the body parts of their little caramel filled Easter bunnies one by one.
They found it hilarious that they chose to wear the same hoodie. In their mind they could convince everyone they were twins because they were wearing the same thing.

They were so excited all morning because Celeste was having a Frozen party later that afternoon. As soon as they woke up, just like clockwork, they asked every 15 minutes if it was time to start getting ready. It was a battle in itself to keep them from whipping all their clothes off and slipping into their princess gowns when I wasn't looking. So as soon as we got back from the park the princess make overs began straight away as promised. It's funny how kids hang on to your every word. If you say they can start getting ready once they get home, they will clamber through that front door and rush to their bedroom so not to waste a precious second! They wanted the works- their hair curled, perfume, makeup (but I had to draw a line and they settled for lipgloss) and even a rummage in my jewellery box. You could tell they felt like little princesses once they were finished and it was seriously the cutest thing ever. I said to josh how fun it would be if we only had little girls so we could do this every weekend. He wasn't so keen ha!
One of the great things about being part of such a large family is the number of cousins your children end up having. Scarlett loves all 25 of them and I'm so grateful that she will have them to grow up with. There are 7 girls in the family that are around her age (I think- give or take a year) and it's nice to imagine them still being close once they're all grown up. I would've loved to have had that when I was younger, luckily I had my big sisters though.
Little girls are the best. Especially the girly ones!
