February in Numbers.

It's a good thing I jot down a brief overview in my little diary each day because without it I would never have been able to write this post. My memory and numbers are what let me down in life! February hasn't been the busiest or most exciting month but it has had its fair share of happy memories being made.

1 // is the number of castles we've visited, the hours I've spent exercising this month, and the number of new movies we've watched this month.

2 // is the number of new recipes I tried. One will be making it into my recipe book of keepers (Chocolate cake with Caramel Filling) and one will not (our home made pizza's. They were good but the base was very doughy so the search continues).

2 // is also the measly number of blog posts I got round to writing. I'll try to be better in March.

7 // is the number of family birthday's we've had this month.

0 // is the number of family birthdays I have forgot about this month which makes me feel accomplished as it was a NY resolution. So far so good!

3 // is the number of trips to London that Josh has gone on for work, although it seems like much more. And consequently...

5 // is the number of nights I have spent alone without my buddy while he's been away. I am happy to report that I now feel OK (ish) about being by myself over night. Although its not my preference, I'm not a over worrying freak about it anymore.

4 //  is the series we're upto on Modern family after discovering it a few weeks ago. Thank you Netflix! I can't even put a number on the hours we must have spent watching all those episodes so far- some even twice! (but just the really funny ones).

2 // is the series of Breaking Bad that I don't think we will be watching. The first series was intense and I just couldn't handle it.

5 // is the number of new beauty related things I have tried and tested this month. All 5 are being used every other day which is a good sign in my books. If something isn't summoned to my wicker basket under my bathroom sink after only using it a couple of times then it's sticking around for a while.
I bought Super Facialist  by Una Brennan clay mask, Maybellene Baby Skin Primer, The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil, Garnier Micellar Water and Vaseline Spray & Go body moisturiser- Coco butter.
Loving them!
8 //  is the number of days off I've had this month. Sometimes I feel guilty for not being busy enough when I'm not working and have the day to myself. But... I should remember this quote more often.

6 // is the number of times we have gone out to dinner this month which surprised me because I always hint that Josh should take me out more often for dinner. We've enjoyed Italian for V-day, Indian with friends, pub lunches on lazy Saturday afternoons, Massive burgers and annoyingly skinny chips at GBK and pizza hut when I couldn't be bothered cooking. As expensive as it can be when it all adds up, going out for dinner is one of my most favourite things so totally worth it in my eyes.

Lastly, I didn't count how many times this happened but I have really loved waking up to blue skies every other day. I don't know about anyone else but it makes me feel so happy when I can throw open the windows first thing in the morning and let the fresh air in.

We've had a happy month but secretly hoping March will prove a bit more exciting. Spring is getting closer and I'm struggling to hold off from buying Easter eggs any longer! Favourite time of year? Definitely in the running.

X
