Weekend in Dublin.

We took a little trip over to Ireland this weekend (and when I say we took a trip, I mean I jumped on the bandwagon when josh had to go for work).

We arrived late on Friday evening after a very woozy ferry ride. Luckily I had my favourite travel buddy by my side so it was all good. Although I think he definitely felt more sea sick than me!

^^ I would definitely recommend The Citywest Hotel for the views alone. It was gorgeous. Typical that the weather picked up just as we were leaving though!

I had never been to Dublin before but I will say this- even though it still seems very British it definitely has a European feel to it thanks to the River Liffey that runs straight through the city centre.

After no sight seeing at all (shameful) and trailing the shops all day we headed back to our hotel to rest our feet for a couple of hours then headed back out later on once our tummies started to rumble. We found an old faithful Nandos nearby which never disappoints for us.

^^ I wore my new boots and necklace that I bought earlier that day (both from New Look)

^^ We had a nice big bath that had little jets inside which I got to use while josh happily watched match of the day (or something like that)

Sunday was spent lying in until midday and having a leisurely stroll in and out of the shops at Kildare shopping outlet where the event was (which by the way was the cutest little village ever).

The ferry going home was much bigger and had it's own little cinema where we decided to watch "Rise of the planet of the apes". Not my first choice of movie but it certainly made time fly. We eventually got home close to 3am and climbed into our heavenly bed after what felt like the longest trip.

Thanks for the memories Dublin. I can now cross you off my "must see cities in Europe" list ;)

SLC xo.
