After checking in to our room, we headed down to the bar to meet up with some of Josh's family and wait for our table. The bar has a nice laid back, almost sports bar kind of atmosphere with big TV screens everywhere, of course showing football games.

I had a difficult time choosing what to order from the menu with every option as more appealing as the one before. In the end we shared the chicken satay to start (which i didn't get a picture of as josh tore into them as soon as our waiter placed them in front of us), we both choose burgers for our mains (I had "The Special One" and josh had "The Boss"), and then dessert to polish everything off nicely. Josh had a chocolate & praline cake which came out decorated like a cute little football pitch and i had a Banoffee Calzone which was seriously like nothing i have ever tasted before. It was slices of banana and white chocolate sauce inside of a light dough/pastry with caramel drizzled on top. I would go back to the restaurant time and time again just to eat another one of these things. Ah-mazing! I never finished it which I'm now seriously regretting...

We left the restaurant around 11pm, had our fun on the Photo Booth before calling it a night and headed back up to our room. The decor is very minimalist, crisp and modern which i loved. All the little details really added to the experience of it all, so a massive credit to whoever paid so much attention to EVERYTHING. Josh favourite had to be the complimentary mini bar which was filled with cans of pop and retro sweets. He was OD-ing on sugar all night! Late night snacks in bed? Sorted.

This was the view from our room- definitely pleasing for any footie fan!

In the morning, we wandered back down to the restaurant to have breakfast and again, the atmosphere was great, even though polar opposite to what it was the night before. We had a choice of pastries, cold meats, cereals and even cooked breakfast that is made to order which i was impressed with. Definitely beats the shuffle of a standard breakfast buffet you're usually faced with in the mornings.
We both ordered a full english which came to the table promptly and was cooked perfectly. But the best part of it all? THE MILKSHAKES. Three words: to.die.for! You know how i said i would go back over and over just to eat dessert? Well i'd have to order one of those milkshakes to go along with it.
Overall, a great night! I can see us going back more that once to eat our way through the very appetising menu. If your hubby loves football then i would definitely recommend booking a night here to surprise him- guaranteed he will love it.
