Hilarious right?
We decided to do something a bit more exciting this weekend so off to see the animals we went. Me and Josh took Scarlett to Chester zoo when we were first dating so she was only tiny. She HATED the monkey enclosure part and was petrified of them swinging around, even though they were behind glass. Turns out nothing has changed in 3 years and she's even more fretful of them when they're getting up close and personal. If only we would have known...
My sister and her hubby were visiting us this weekend so they came along too which made the trip lots of fun. Unfortunately the weather was wet and miserable but we managed to drive around almost all of the park before it started to rain (isn't it always the case that the drizzle starts when you get out of the car to have a walk around?)
Despite not enjoying the monkeys climbing all over our car, Scarlett did find it exciting spotting other animals in different parts of the park. Her favourite had to be our drive through the lion enclosure. They were obviously having a lazy Saturday afternoon as they didn't seem bothered about the cars driving around them and stayed in the same position the whole time, but it meant we got to have a really good look at them.
She is such a clever little girl and is always keen to learn new things. She wanted to know the proper names of every type of animal she noticed and would even refer to her stickers to try and guess what they were judging by their features. What a gem!
The elephants were definitely my favourite (Can you believe these two pictures were taken about 10 minutes apart? Good ol' Britain for you!)
If you want to have a fun day out then i would definitely recommend going to the safari park! We had a great day out :)
