12 Days of Christmas Giveaway!

We're less than 2 weeks away from the big day and I'm nowhere near ready for it! I wanted to be so organised this year and prepare everything in advance so that I could soak in all of the magical moments surrounding Indies first christmas. But yet again I've set myself up for failure thanks to high expectations and not enough organisation. Theres a mountain of things to get through that I'll somehow have to chip away at and hope that the majority of it gets done before Christmas day! Send help. I need it quick!!

Anyway, this post is all about an exciting Christmas giveaway that I'm hosting over on my Instagram featuring some lovely, lovely brands that I think you mama's will LOVE!
The main theme of the giveaway is baby related but everyone is invited to get involved. The more the merrier! Even if you're not a parent yourself, let someone know who is and tag them to get involved.

It starts tomorrow (Tuesday 13th December) and will run until Christmas eve, and each day there will be something new up for grabs.
All the brands featured are independent businesses all based in the UK as I think its important to shop small and support those local to us! I've bought from some of the brands featured and its so nice to know that Indie is wearing or playing with something thats hand made with care and love.

So if this sort of thing is up your street make sure to follow along and show your support for these lovely brands that are offering their goods to some very lucky winners! You can find me on Instagram HERE.

See you there! SLC x

The boring stuff:
Each giveaway will go live at 9am and close at midnight.
All winners will be chosen at complete random and will be contacted via DM on Instagram by me.
In order for your entry to be considered, you must complete all the necessary conditions for that specific day.
This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered, or associated with, Instagram.

Christmas card pictures

Scarletts outfit: Gillet (similar) // Dress // Boots
Indies outfit: Fur Jacket // Shoes // Hat

I'm so excited that Christmas is almost here. I know its not December until tomorrow but I wanted to share a few of the pictures from our Christmas card shoot with you. We have done these pictures for a few years now and I love that we'll be able to look back at them in the future. Its definitely a tradition that we'll be keeping!

We put our tree up this week and I feel as though its completely changed the atmosphere in the house almost instantly. We've never put it up in November before and Josh took A LOT of convincing but we figured that with all the bad stories you hear going on around the world every day, it wouldn't hurt to make the best season of the year last a little longer. And with it being Indies first Christmas I definitely want to drag it out for as long as possible too!

Happy hump day everyone! I'm counting down the days until the weekend because my mum is coming to stay with us to start Christmas shopping! I wanted to be really organised this year but haven't bought a single thing as of yet, so I'm excited for a long girls weekend full of shopping!

And just before I wrap this up, I just want to say thank you to all those who showed their support on my first video that I uploaded last week. I was really nervous to put myself out there but the response was amazing and I'm excited to share a little more of our lives with you all. If you haven't already watched it, you can do so by clicking HERE.

Twinning

Vans // His & Hers // Girls // Baby

I don't know whats come over me but recently I've become obsessed with anything matching/co-ordinating/his & hers. I think its since having Indie all I want to do is either match her to what I'm wearing or to what Scarlett is wearing. Goodness knows what I'm going to be like if we have a baby boy!

I'm not much of a trainers kinda gal but I wanted a casual pair to wear everyday that weren't too sporty so these were right up my street. When I went to buy them I bought a pair in Joshs size just on impulse but luckily he was pleased with them when I brought them home so I love that we're matching! I think I may even get the girls a pair too! As if baby trainers weren't cute enough!!

Tag me in anything matchy-matchy that you see! Im on the hunt for family Christmas pyjamas but having no luck finding any cute ones!!

Happy hump day!

Leopard Print

I have been loving leopard print this season even though its always been something I've shied away from in fear of looking tacky. I feel like there is a fine line between a chic leopard print and a cheap looking one. But as i'm trying to step out of my comfort zone more and more these days, I thought I'd give this bold skirt a try and I lovvvve it!

My top tip for wearing leopard this season is to look out for prints that are more beige and black than orange and black. The more neutral the better (words to live by in my books!)

I've linked a few different pieces below that are perfect for adding to your wardrobe if you want to add a touch of leopard to your outfits instead of going to town! The good thing about leopard print is that it tends to always come around again and again in the autumn/winter, so investment pieces are well worth it in my eyes!

Happy Sunday everyone. Thanks of reading!

Indies blessing day

We had our little Indie girl blessed at church last Sunday which was so special for us as a family.
Josh was really nervous about it for a number of reasons (the biggest incase she cried) and low and behold, she balled the whole way through. I had a feeling she was going to be a bit cranky as she was being a bit fussy while she was in my arms just before Josh took her so I told him to brace himself and be prepared to rock her as best as he could (all to no avail... poor Josh!)

Although she cried for those few minutes, it was such a special blessing. He was so calm and clear while he blessed her and I'll always remember what he said. There was such a sweet spirit during church for the whole morning and I don't think I've ever feel so lucky and content as I did that day.

I took the opportunity to share my thoughts and feelings with everyone that was there that morning and expressed my gratitude for the privilege it is to be a mother. Normally I choose not to talk about my religion on my blog or other social media platforms as I feel as though religion is such a personal topic, but to know me is to know that I have a deep love and need for God in my life. I truly feel so blessed to be living the life I do, with the people I love and now that we have our own baby girl to love and cherish forever, I feel even more blessed. Life with Indie in it is so much more than it was before. I never knew what love was until I held her in my arms for the first time. She makes me want to be the best version of myself and has taught me what it means to love another person with every fibre of your being.

Having her in our lives is the greatest blessing we've ever received and I'm so thankful to know that she is ours forever.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to share her special day with us.

We love you Indie girl.
