Lest we forget.

Two minutes of silence is hardly enough to show how grateful we are for the people who gave their lives for the sake of their country.

As we stood in church with our heads bowed in respect, I thought about what these people sacrificed for us and felt my eyes well up with tears as I was overwhelmed with the spirit of gratitude. I am so glad that we have a day of rememberance to dedicate to these brave souls as it is so easily taken for granted and their sacrifice forgotten.

While in church I also thought of my saviour and His atoning sacrifice that is extended to every soul that has lived or is ever to live. I personally find it difficult to digest in my mind the greatness of such a blessing but nonetheless I am still so grateful.

I have made a personal goal to try and look for the positive in all things, people and situations as I think it's important to embody a spirit of thankfulness in your heart. I want my Heavenly Father to know that I recognise His hand in my life by showing Him on a daily basis how thankful I am for the little everyday blessing that I often take for granted.

Happy Sunday.
