Josh and I took a little last minute break to the Lake District this week which was a perfect opportunity to get some blog content.... or so I thought!
Although I planned ahead and packed an extra 2 or 3 outfits to shoot, the weather (in true British fashion) got in the way. The rain and fog was thick and heavy most of the time so we were only able to squeeze in this one outfit, but i'll take it!
We arrived yesterday afternoon and were treated to a lovely afternoon tea on arrival to help settle us in. With our tummies full of finger sandwiches, hot chocolate and cake, we headed to our room to relax for a bit before heading to the spa to relax some more. It was almost dark by the time we left so we opted to drive around the little town of Windermere instead of walking around as planned. But it was just as cute and quaint from the inside of the car!
We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the evening and were both tucked up in bed, fast asleep by 11pm. It was either our food comas from dinner or our cosy bed that sent us to the land of nod so early. We must've needed it.
Thanks Groupon for the bargain. We enjoyed our quality time together and will definitely be back to visit The Lakes again (maybe when its a bit warmer next time!)
